    Card and cash accepted. One of our go-to for mango birthday cake! Cake is always fluffy and not too sweet. I always call in to reserve one before arriving just in case they sell out that day. So glad I always do. One time I arrived there was a line of about 5-6 people ahead and a lady ahead of me wanted a mango cake, bakery said they're sold out on a Tuesday morning. There were 3 on reserve, one of them was mine. Their egg tarts are great and I always grab some along with some buns they have laying out.

    Short and sweet: you can't go wrong with their traditional egg tarts or their Portuguese style egg tarts. Small mom & pop bakery, no thrills or frills....nothing fancy but the quality is there. Warm, fresh and delicious. Parking can be a hit or miss. Sure it's a big lot but if you come during prime lunch or dinner hours....good luck. There's a Chinese family style seafood restaurant and a gym in this plaza (amongst other small businesses that are also located here). Every time I'm back home in the SGV, I try to make it a point to get some egg tarts here.

    This bakery not only have the best egg tarts that melts in your mouth, they have the best, most efficient and most honest staff! I stopped by this bakery based on a friend's recommendation while I was visiting Los Angeles. Since egg tart is one of my favorite dessert, I was very excited to try them! However, in my haste, I accidentally left my wallet at the counter and left! I discovered my mistake 3 days later after I was already back in Nor. Cal. I was horrified! I have almost everything in it! At time like this, I was afraid that I am totally screwed. In my last ditch, I called Jim's bakery expecting the worst. I was pleasantly surprised that the lady told me they have my wallet and even more shocking, next minute, a police, officer Castillo got on the phone and told me the process on how they get it back to me! It turned out Jim's Bakery have been safekeeping it for me. After I didn't come back to get it, they were in the process of turning it over to the police! I'm just so grateful beyond words! It could of gone many ways, yet I was lucky enough making my worst mistake in the safest shop in L.A! Jim's . Bakery! I thank you and your staff from the bottom of my heart! Finally, I want to quickly comment about Officer Castillo and Officer Lott. I thank them for their compassion and efficiency in getting my wallet back to me. Officer Castillo knew how worried I was, she assure me everything was safe. She quickly passed my wallet to Officer Lott so he can securely get it back to me with no steps missing. Monterey Park is truly blessed to have such fine police team safeguarding them! Back the blue!!!

    If you're craving dim sum egg tarts, you must come here! Jim's bakery offers a myriad of Chinese bakery but it is most known for their egg tarts. They have two types: regular egg tart or Portuguese style egg tart. Their egg tarts are to die for- so creamy and delicious. Service is quick and easy- it is a pretty small store so not a lot of people can come in. Parking is pretty spacious but it is shared with LA fitness and NBC Seafood so it does get crowded. Highly recommend coming here if you want to try authentic egg tarts! Plus you can try other pastries/bakeries that are cooked fresh every morning
